‘Future Ready Young Farmers & Fishers’ is a FREE micro-learning program that was open from March to February 2024 – focused on helping you and your business get ahead of future disasters and disruptions.
If the thought of getting your business ‘future ready’ seems too complex, expensive or time consuming – this is the program for you!
Benefits included:
- Receive 15 micro-learning (5-minute) modules
- Watch video case studies from local peers
- Attend 3 community workshops
- Build your personalised toolkit
- Receive support from the Resilient Ready team
Working with a local MidCoast steering group ensures every module will be helpful and relevant.

This program was funded by the Young Farmer Business Program (YFBP) – an initiative of the NSW Department of Primary Industries.
Registrations opened in February 2023, and the program remained open until February 2024.
15 micro-learning modules have been launched over the 3-months. Also 3 workshops in the community (family friendly of course) were held with the aim to show how future planning can be easy and fun!

This project is an innovative micro-learning program developed to help build resilience capabilities in Farmers and Fishers.
Co-designed with a local MidCoast steering group, this FREE 3-month program was available to every farmer or fisher from MidCoast Shire, NSW.
From March 2023 to February 2024, participants benefited from:
- Receiving 15 micro-learning (5-minute) modules
- Watching video case studies from local peers

Data collected across the project is shared to identify current capabilities (or strengths) and vulnerabilities (or risks) across the local business community.
With the outcome to get you, your business and your community future ready.
This project was FREE for every farmer and fisher operating within MidCoast Shire NSW.
