Resilient Ready collaborated with the Torrens Resilience Initiative to deliver a FREE program for all South Australian grape and wine business owners, managers, operators and employees.

This innovative solution was tailor-made, designed to build sector-wide resilience for all grape and wine people in business.

About the project

10 micro-learning modules were released weekly over 10 weeks from September to November 2024.

All modules were released and pre-recorded webinars were also included in the Toolkit.

This project was a collaboration between Resilient Ready and the Torrens Resilience Initiative.

What is this program?

The Future Ready Grape and Wine Business pilot program in South Australia was a tailored version of Resilient Ready’s innovative Business Community Resilience (BCR) Toolkit. The BCR Toolkit program helps business people to make small changes that have a big impact.

Running from September to November 2024, the Future Ready Grape and Wine Business pilot program in South Australia supported all grape and wine business owners, managers, operators and employees to build their resilience through 10 resilience-themed micro-learning modules.

All modules focused on an industry-relevant topic and take 5-10 minutes to complete. Modules included two simple yes/no questions, an industry-specific business case study and easy-to-understand worksheets and tools.

Target program outcomes included:

  • Increased resilience skills and knowledge across the South Australian grape and wine business community
  • Positive behaviour changes resulting in better business
  • Data to identify industry-relevant grape and wine business community vulnerabilities

The Future Ready Grape and Wine Business pilot program in South Australia program was FREE for all grape and wine business owners, managers, operators and employees located in South Australia.

We encouraged multiple people from small businesses to participate.

The Future Ready Grape and Wine Business pilot program in South Australia was delivered by social enterprise Resilient Ready in collaboration with the Torrens Resilience Initiative (TRI) within Flinders University.

This project has been funded by a Disaster Risk Reduction grant funded by the Australian Government and South Australian Government. Views and findings associated with this project  are expressed independently and do not necessarily represent the views of State and Commonwealth funding bodies.

The grant program was administered via the South Australian Fire and Emergency Services Commission (SAFECOM).
