HUBS / Blue Mountains Hub

Co-designing a local business community solution

The Blue Mountains region has been hard hit by bushfires, severe storms, floods, landslides, and the impact of Covid-19 in the past three years. These overlapping disasters have left the local business community struggling.

To build resilience and capabilities across the Blue Mountains region, Resilient Ready (formerly corporate2community) has been funded to create a FREE solution for the local business community.

This ‘Blue Mountains Business Resilience’ Roadmap will enable every business person across the 27 towns to do business better – in good times and bad.

Funded by BLERF as a collaboration with BusinessBM, this project is being delivered by locally engaged Blue Mountains Resilient Ready experts.

Members of the Blue Mountains business community can access their Roadmap for free until 31st December 2023.

A commitment to building local capabilities

Engaging with the community to co-design

Members of the Blue Mountains business community have been participating in Steering Group sessions to guide the direction of this project.

In addition, 9 discovery workshops were held in person across the Blue Mountains and online in June 2022. This important step enabled us to test the capability building tool concept and source lived experience local business people.

Findings informed this Roadmap theme to ensure each micro-learning module is relevant, tailored and beneficial to the entire Blue Mountains business community.

The Blue Mountains are full of wonderful opportunities to build a thriving business community.
